Rent the Aputure STORM 1000c in Los Angeles from F22 Studios. The STORM 1000c is Aputure’s flagship full-color RGB LED fixture, designed for music videos, commercials with vibrant color palettes, narrative work with color-accurate practicals, beauty shots that need subtle color-tinted key lights, and any production that pushes color as a storytelling tool.
At 1,000 watts, the STORM 1000c produces 14,200 lux at 1 meter (5600K) with the included 45° hyper reflector — enough output to serve as a key light through diffusion, a punch source for larger scenes, or a color-effect light bouncing off walls and ceilings for creative color washes. The full CCT range spans an extraordinary 1800K to 20,000K, giving you everything from candlelight warm to deep blue moonlight in a single fixture. Full 360° HSI (Hue/Saturation/Intensity) control lets you dial in any color for practicals, match neon and LED signage, or program dynamic color changes for narrative sequences.
The STORM 1000c is built around Aputure’s proprietary BLAIR-CG chipset — an evolution of the standard BLAIR design that adds Cyan and Green diodes to the Blue, Lime, Amber, Indigo, and Red base for a total of seven emitters. The practical result: the STORM 1000c covers more than 90% of the Rec. 2020 color gamut, the widest of any full-color LED fixture currently available. That means colors other RGB LEDs simply cannot render — deep teals, saturated ambers, difficult greens — are within reach without needing to combine gels or double up fixtures.
Color accuracy sits at the very top of the industry: CRI 97, TLCI 97, and TM-30 Rf 96. That means skin tones stay natural even when you’re pushing the fixture into extreme color territory — a colored wash on the background doesn’t force you into unflattering skin tones on the subject. The ProLock Bowens accessory mount ensures secure modifier attachment for lensed accessories, and IP65-rated construction handles exterior conditions without complaint. Sidus Link app control, DMX, and on-board controls give you full remote programming.
