The Quick Dome 90 is a 90cm circular Bowens-S mount deep parabolic softbox, designed for interviews, narrative dialog scenes, beauty and portrait work, commercial product photography, and any scene that needs a large, wraparound soft key light in the time it takes to plate a fixture.
Traditional collapsible softboxes take minutes to assemble and often require a second crew member to hold rods in tension while you thread them into the speed ring. The Quick Dome 90’s engineered quick-release latch mechanism tensions all 16 steel support rods within seconds — one person, one motion, one large soft source ready to shoot. That kind of speed matters on production days when you’re moving between setups every 20 minutes and every second of light-time costs money.
At 90cm across with a deep parabolic shape and a highly reflective silver interior, the Quick Dome 90 produces a large, powerful, uniform soft source that wraps subjects beautifully without the harsh central hotspot common to cheaper softboxes. The deep parabolic design gives you tighter falloff than a shallow softbox, meaning the light stays where you want it — on the subject — without spilling excessively onto backgrounds or bouncing off nearby walls into unwanted flare.
It’s a natural match for the larger Bowens-mount COB fixtures in our inventory: the Aputure STORM 1200x, STORM 700x, STORM 1000c, LS 300x, and any Bowens-compatible LED, HMI, or tungsten light. The kit includes front diffusion, an inner baffle for even smoother light, and a 40° fabric light control grid for directional control when you want the soft quality of a large source but the containment of a spot.
