About the Boom Pole Holder:
Rent a boom pole holder in Los Angeles from F22 Studios. It is a small piece of kit that earns its place on any day with a boom operator — narrative sets, documentary shoots, corporate video, and event coverage all benefit from having a safe, upright home for a fully rigged boom.
An assembled boom is an awkward object: a long pole with a shock mount, a shotgun microphone, and frequently a blimp and windjammer on the end. On the floor it gathers dust and invites a stepped-on capsule. Against a wall it slides. The holder clamps onto a C-stand, light stand, or cart rail and cradles the pole vertically, keeping the microphone off the ground and the rig assembled and ready for the next take.
It also gives the boom operator a place to set the pole down during lighting adjustments and blocking resets. Over a long shooting day, not holding a boom overhead through every reset is what keeps an operator precise into the evening.
Practical use cases include narrative production sound, documentary and interview days, corporate and conference shoots, and any sound cart that needs a dedicated spot for the boom. Pairs naturally with our K-Tek, Auray, and Rode boom poles and any of our shotgun microphone packages. Available now for rental at F22 Studios in Burbank, serving productions across greater Los Angeles.
