Shooting with the ZEISS Batis E-Mount Lenses
The Batis set gives you Zeiss rendering with native E-mount autofocus, which is an unusual and genuinely useful combination. Five focal lengths from 18mm to 135mm cover most documentary and commercial situations, and because they are native, AF and stabilisation behave properly rather than approximately. They are a strong choice for crews who want a step up in image quality without giving up the conveniences that make small-crew shooting possible.
Autofocus glass is worth choosing deliberately. If you have a focus puller and want manual control with a long throw, book a cine set instead.

Yes — they are native E-mount, so autofocus and stabilisation work as designed. That is much of why crews pick them over adapted alternatives.
How do they compare to G Master primes?
Both are excellent native options. Batis lenses carry more of the Zeiss look; G Masters are the more clinical, modern rendering. It comes down to taste.
